"Advice dedicated to young and future parents on buying their YOYO stroller"

YOYO Sunshade

SUN PART FOR YOYO BABYZEN stroller

Are you searching for a UV protection accessory for your YOYO Babyzen stroller but don’t want to opt for the YOYO umbrella? That’s understandable, as you might be looking for an alternative. Fortunately, there is another accessory that serves as a viable option to the umbrella: the sunshade for strollers.

Personally, I own a sunshade for my YOYO stroller, which I use for my older child in the 6+ pack. Here’s my experience with the sunshade and a brief comparison with the umbrella.

Does Babyzen offer an official sunshade for the YOYO stroller?

No, Babyzen doesn’t offer a sunshade specifically marketed for its YOYO stroller. However, you can find umbrellas for sale, which act like small parasols that attach to the YOYO frame to shield the baby from the sun’s rays.

What’s the difference between an umbrella and a sunshade for a stroller?

Both an umbrella and a sunshade for a stroller are accessories designed to protect your child from the sun while you’re out for a stroll. However, there are some differences between the two:

Umbrella:

  • An umbrella is typically a small fabric or similar material structure that attaches to the stroller frame using a clamp or attachment.
  • It’s often adjustable, allowing you to change the angle to effectively block the sun at different times of the day.
  • The umbrella can be angled to provide shade to different parts of the stroller, depending on the sun’s position.

Sunshade:

  • A sunshade is typically a piece integrated into the stroller canopy. It can be folded or extended as needed.
  • Some sunshades come with extendable panels or special fabrics designed to block UV rays.
  • Sunshades are often larger than umbrellas and can provide more comprehensive sun protection by covering a larger area of the stroller.

In summary, an umbrella is a separate accessory that can be attached to the stroller to provide shade, while a sunshade is usually integrated into the stroller’s structure and offers more complete sun protection. The choice between the two often depends on personal preferences and the specific features of the stroller.

My thoughts on using a sunshade for the YOYO stroller?

When I was young, my parents used the sunshade a lot on their stroller (YOYO didn’t exist yet). Like the YOYO rain cover, the sunshade has the advantage of being easily removable and can be tucked into one of the stroller’s storage compartments.

Moreover, unlike the umbrella, it covers a larger area, providing more extensive UV protection for your child. This aspect shouldn’t be overlooked.

Additionally, its price is more attractive since there are no official products from the Babyzen brand for this accessory. Hence, the product for this accessory is relatively lower.

To summarize:

  • Between 0 and 6 months, I recommend using an umbrella.
  • From 6 months onward, I recommend using a sunshade.

But, by the way,
Who am I ?
